Dissecting Plants
Last week (w.e. 24.04.20) children in school and at home took part in a science project which involved dissecting a tulip, daffodil or similar flower.
Year 5 and 6 children working remotely watched a video Let's Go Live with Maddie and Greg which gave step-by-step instructions on how to carefully take the flower apart. Pupils were then asked to place each part on a piece of paper and label it with a brief explanation of its function.
The 'hands on' task was completed with enthusiasm and by all accounts was interesting, informative and lots of fun.
